Aubade Sheer Emotion Padded Plunge Bra – Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s eye for transparency, the new SHEER EMOTION line opens a new page in Aubade’s permanent lines. On the skin, transparency is rarely integral: in theory, it is incompatible with the very function of clothing, which is supposed to cover, conceal or protect the body.  Attracted by this contradiction and the suggestive power of transparency, Yves Saint Laurent began using materials such as chiffon, lace and tulle in the 1960s. Transparency has been a recurring theme throughout his creations, spanning forty years.
He boldly reconciles antagonisms and allows women to assert their bodies with pride and insolence.  Following in the footsteps of this genius of French Haute Couture, Aubade in turn interprets transparencies through the use of materials such as embroidery and tulle, creating lingerie that plays on revealing the skin… with a new view  on nudity.
